Spacious family room and great dining experience

I had a fantastic stay in a spacious family room, where the beds were incredibly comfortable. The highlight was definitely the on-site pub, offering an excellent variety of meals that catered to all tastes, making dining very convenient. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome, although I did notice a few cobwebs in the corner of the room that could use some attention.

Exceptional staff and delicious meals.

i had a wonderful stay during a wedding celebration, and gamston lock truly exceeded my expectations. the spacious double room was clean and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a long day. i especially loved the delicious breakfasts with freshly baked pastries and various coffee options.

the wifi connection was very slow.

The family room features spacious layouts, providing ample space for relaxation after a day of adventures. Located just a short distance from popular attractions, it simplifies the exploration of nearby sights.

The cleaning left much to be desired, with black mold around the bathroom and plenty of stains on the settee and carpet. Temperature control in the room was a hassle, feeling quite cold, while the TV options were limited to just basic channels that didn’t entertain well. Plus, that shower—barely more than a dribble—didn’t make for a pleasant wash after a long day.

Had a blast with the crew! The pub has a cool beer garden and we enjoyed playing in the children's play area. The food was great, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. But keep in mind, they don't clean the rooms daily, so be prepared for that.

We faced an issue with room cleaning during our stay. It was disappointing to see our room wasn't serviced at all, and we had to ask for basic amenities.

The beer garden was fantastic! Our kids loved the play area and the welcoming atmosphere made it perfect for a family meal. The staff were friendly and the room was spotless, which added to our enjoyable stay with my fiancé.

My children wished there was a small fridge in the room.

The staff at Gamston Lock were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious, and accessible, which made it comfortable for my business needs. the breakfast was outstanding, featuring a wide variety of hot and cold options, all well presented and delicious.

The check-in process was slow, and the Wi-Fi connection was poor.

The large, comfortable room with sparkling cleanliness created a welcoming environment for our stay. Delicious meals, particularly the Asian street food at the pub, stood out, complemented by the polite and friendly service from the staff. parking spaces were somewhat limited and there was occasional noise from nearby areas that interrupted the peaceful atmosphere at times.

I enjoyed a peaceful stay with clean, modern accommodations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although food from the pub next door wasn't impressive, it was convenient for a late dinner. For a great night’s sleep, choose a room away from any street noise!

i had a nice stay at gamston lock. the staff in the restaurant were really efficient and friendly, and the food was well presented. the location is super convenient, especially with free parking and electric charging points. i loved how easy it was to catch a bus into town. this spot is great for a quick getaway.

The pub attached to the hotel offers excellent dining options with generous portions. Some noise from guests can be heard in the rooms, which was a bit distracting. The location is great with a golf course nearby, making it a nice spot for relaxation.

Lovely stay with great value!

We had a fab time during our 2-night stay. The food was on point, especially the calamari! Staff were super friendly, but our mains were a letdown – my Sunday dinner was lukewarm and my wife's burger mix-up was a bit frustrating. Still, enjoyed the outdoor dining area!

great parks and attractions within easy walking distance

during my stay, I was thrilled to discover how close Holme Pierrepont Country Park was, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll, and the delightful food at the pub was just what I needed after long walks around the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made my solo trip even more enjoyable.
